Tutorial: How to Use Wet n Wild Fantasy Maker Confetti

Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Glitter Manicure Tutorial

It's the time of year for costumes, pumpkin spiced everything and best of all the Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers collection. I love that everything in the collection is really affordable. Even still, I can't bear to empty the entire bottle of Confetti into a bottle of clear polish just to get it onto my nails. I've made this tutorial to show how to get dense coverage while using barely any of your precious Confetti glitter. Read on to see how.

I started with my favorite base coat and one coat of Spoiled, Only in Creams. You could also use a silvery base coat or any other color you like. It doesn't matter if it's a little patchy since it'll be getting covered up soon.

The next step is to sprinkle some glitter onto a sheet of paper.

Then pick up the glitter with a stamper. I used my squishy stamper from Winstonia.

Press the glitter onto the nail while the polish is still a bit tacky, but not wet. It sticks to just the polish and not your skin so no cleanup is necessary afterwards. Another advantage to using the stamper vs sprinkling the glitter is that most of the glitters will be laying flat which makes it easier to top coat for a smooth finish and there are more pieces to reflect the light.

After the first round with the stamper I did a clear coat of polish and then gave it another "stamped" coat of glitter for even more coverage. I think two covered pretty well, but if you wanted you could go for a third to get even more sparkle. Finish up with your favorite top coat and that's it.

I used up all of the glitter I had sprinkled onto the paper so the only thing left to clean up was the stamper. I use a lint roller to clean my stamper, but you could also use any kind of tape to lift off the remaining glitter. This was so easy with hardly any glitter wasted.

I had to take a picture out of focus to show just now sparkly it really is.

It was so hard to capture the intensity of the holo in a picture. In person it's much more impressive. It has the all over sparkle, but in the right lighting you get a nice linear holo effect too.

This is my first tutorial so let me know what you think!
